Job Summary
BELL Construction is hiring a Fleet Manager to join our Heavy Highway/Civil Division in our Nashville, TN location. The Fleet Manager is responsible for the management, maintenance, and oversight of the company's fleet program, including heavy equipment, tools, and working closely with the Shop Manager, personnel, and vendors. The Fleet Manager ensures equipment availability, compliance, and cost efficiency across multiple job sites.
Job Responsibilities

Oversees the lifecycle and budget of the company's fleet and heavy equipment, including utilization, maintenance, repair, and disposal.

Assists management with equipment purchasing.

Monitors utilization, tracks rentals, and implements strategies to improve efficiency.

Reports to management monthly on targeted KPIs (Utilization, Availability, Unscheduled Downtime, Maintenance Costs, Repair Costs, and Rental Costs).

Manages preventive maintenance program for company fleet, including program warranties.

Routinely uses ERP and Telematics software to manage equipment location, utilization, cost maintenance, and inspections.

Partners with Operations to support training, inspections, and incident prevention.

Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education & Experience

Minimum required – Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Logistics, Business, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum required – Three (3) years of construction experience preferred.
Knowledge & Skills

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Strong organizational skills.

Strong verbal communication skills and people skills.

Working knowledge of GPS Tracking systems.

Warehousing or inventory management experience preferred.
