Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Pay: $17.00/hour with guaranteed performance-based raises:
- 60 Days: Increases to $18.00/hour
- 120 Days: Increases to $19.00/hour
- 180 Days: Increases to $20.00/hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Environmental Sample Collector to gather water, wastewater, and environmental swab samples from commercial and industrial production facilities. You will travel to client sites using a company-provided vehicle to execute precise testing protocols, ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity. This role requires strict adherence to safety standards in industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect field samples of industrial wastewater, process water, and environmental swabs.
- Operate sampling equipment including automatic samplers, composite jars, and field meters (pH, temperature).
- Travel to client facilities safely using the provided company vehicle.
- Verify facility site data and follow specific client sampling plans.
- Label and log specimens immediately using chain-of-custody protocols.
- Preserve sample integrity during transport using ice, refrigeration, or chemical stabilizers.
- Document field observations and accurately input data into our digital tracking system.
- Maintain field equipment by calibrating sensors and cleaning gear daily.
- Adhere to safety rules including OSHA mandates and facility-specific PPE guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensing: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Experience: Prior experience in environmental field sampling, water treatment, or industrial labor preferred.
- Technical: Ability to read technical maps, facility layouts, and follow strict standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail to avoid cross-contamination of samples.
- Certifications: None required; all necessary on-the-job and safety training will be provided.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and industrial plant settings.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment or water coolers.
- Comfort walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs, and standing for long periods.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
