OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Executive Operations serves as a member of the organization’s Senior Leadership Team and provides operational, administrative, governance, and project management leadership in support of the Office of the President & CEO, and the central administrative function of the Access Network. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Staff and Communications, this role helps drive organizational coordination, operational effectiveness, and enterprise-wide follow-through across key organizational priorities.
The position is primarily focused in four key areas:
- Leadership and oversight of the organization’s project management function, including supervision of the Monday.com System Lead and Executive Project Coordinator.
- Coordination of governance and Board of Directors support activities, ensuring effective preparation, communication, and follow-through for Board and committee functions.
- Oversight of executive scheduling, administrative coordination, and organizational workflows across Central Administration to improve efficiency, responsiveness, and operational consistency.
- Serving as a key liaison to the C-suite regarding organizational performance, operational effectiveness, cross-functional coordination, and issues impacting the Access Network.
This role also helps manage many of the cross-functional “junk drawer” operational responsibilities that often require proactive coordination, troubleshooting, and follow-through to reduce bottlenecks and maintain organizational momentum.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Serves as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to organizational planning, operational decision-making, and strategic initiatives.
- Provides leadership and oversight to the organization’s project management function, including supervision of the Monday.com System Lead and Executive Project Coordinator.
- Supports organizational planning, accountability, communication, and execution through effective project management systems and workflows.
- Coordinates governance and Board-related administrative support activities, including meeting preparation, materials management, communication, scheduling, and follow-through.
- Oversees executive scheduling, Central Administration workflows, and administrative coordination to support efficient and responsive organizational operations.
- Serves as a liaison to executive leadership regarding operational performance, organizational coordination, workflow challenges, and issues impacting the effectiveness of the Access Network.
- Helps identify and address operational bottlenecks, communication gaps, and workflow inefficiencies across departments.
- Supervises executive assistants, administrative assistants, and assigned support staff, including hiring, coaching, development, and performance management.
- Develops and improves administrative systems, workflows, and operational processes to strengthen organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Helps ensure effective information flow, communication, and accountability across leadership teams and departments.
- Oversees office systems, records management, and administrative technology tools.
- Ensures organizational deadlines, reporting requirements, and administrative deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintains confidentiality and exercises sound judgment in handling sensitive organizational and personnel matters.
- Participates in committees, operational improvement efforts, and special projects that advance agency priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a complex organization, including cross-functional and senior leadership collaboration.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive follow-through.
- Experience leading or coordinating organizational project management systems, preferably Monday.com or similar platforms.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience supervising and developing administrative or operational support staff.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and administrative technology systems.
- Ability to anticipate needs, navigate ambiguity, solve problems proactively, and support organizational change.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Human Services Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible administrative, operational, or organizational leadership experience, preferably within a nonprofit, healthcare, or human services environment.
- Prior supervisory and project management experience strongly preferred.
