We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This role will work closely with ownership and leadership to support the financial and operational management of the company’s growing portfolio.
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organized Accountant who can manage the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple real estate entities and projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable handling a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative responsibilities.
This position is intended to be a stable, long-term role with the opportunity for increased responsibility over time.
Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities and bank accounts
- Record and reconcile all transactions in Quick Books and other accounting software
- Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Track loan balances, debt payments, escrows, and reserves
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and internal reporting packages
- Coordinate with third-party accounting firms on tax filings and year-end reporting
- Process vendor payments and monitor due dates
Real Estate & Construction Accounting
- Assist with lender reporting and draw submissions
- Track tenant rent collections and housing authority payments
- Maintain property-level financial reporting and performance metrics across residential and commercial properties
- Assist with utility tracking, insurance payments, CAM-related expenses, and property tax schedules
Operations & Administrative Support
- Help maintain organized accounting systems and internal workflows
- Assist ownership with annual compliance and special projects, including third party cost segregation studies.
- Coordinate and track real estate tax payments across the portfolio
- Monitor insurance policies, premium payments, renewals, and coverage schedules
- Assist with maintaining organized records for loans, insurance, taxes, utilities, leases, and entity documentation
- Support general office administration and operational coordination as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 10+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Required experience using Quick Books Online
- Real estate accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of financial statements and reconciliations
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
