Overview
Join our family owned and operated team as a 06A Journeyman HVAC/R Technician, where you will be at the forefront of maintaining, repairing, and installing complex heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role is perfect for experienced technicians eager to apply their mechanical expertise in a fast-paced environment. You will work on a variety of systems and ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and conduct equipment repairs efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues.
- Conduct system inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes; perform preventative maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.
- Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to repair or modify equipment as needed.
- Diagnose complex issues involving electrical systems, building automation controls, ammonia refrigeration systems, and plumbing components.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system status and recommended solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician with construction background or property maintenance experience preferred.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerants; knowledge of HVAC/R regulations is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge across HVAC system installation, repair, and maintenance; familiarity with refrigeration and boiler systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams; experience with HVAC design is a plus.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, welding, and mechanical systems repair.
- Experience operating hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment required for field service work.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, ammonia refrigeration (including working with ammonia-based cooling), and appliance repair is advantageous.

Pay: $32.00 - $42.00 per hour
