Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver, specializing in both local and long-haul deliveries. In this role, you will operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and forklift-equipped vehicles. Your primary mission is to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of freight across diverse routes while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across local routes or long-distance journeys, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper cargo securing for transport.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel efficiency.
- Transport a variety of cargo types including hazardous materials (dangerous goods), refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tanker liquids, or freight requiring special handling.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues; report any concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and logistics teams to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery operations.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with necessary endorsements for the types of vehicles operated (e.g., tanker, hazardous materials).
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and handling various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations regarding hours of service, safety standards, hazardous materials handling, and load securement procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently; experience with forklift operation is a plus.
- Strong navigation skills using GPS systems for precise route planning and execution.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance; previous delivery driver experience preferred.
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road; flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
