Job Overview
We’re seeking an experienced, dependable Barista to join our family on a part-time and fill-in basis. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service. Flexibility is essential, as you’ll help cover shifts when needed while maintaining the welcoming atmosphere our customers know and love.
Barista Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality espresso beverages, coffee, teas, and specialty drinks with consistency and care.
- Provide friendly, genuine, and efficient customer service to every guest.
- Create a welcoming environment where customers feel like part of the Oly Grounds family.
- Operate Square point-of-sale system and accurately handle cash and card transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked coffee stand.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Restock supplies and assist with opening and closing duties.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Step into fill-in shifts with a positive attitude and adapt quickly to changing needs.
- Represent Oly Grounds Coffee with professionalism, kindness, and drive within our local community.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous barista experience required.
- Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming, and drink consistency.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a team-first mindset.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
Ability to work independently while supporting the team.
Pay: $22.73 per hour
