Job Summary:
Ward’s Berry Farm is looking for diligent and friendly bakers to work in our kitchen! Bakers will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of baked goods, from breads and cookies to crisps and pies.
Work Schedule:
- PM shift: 11am to 6pm
- Weekend Availability needed- at least one weekend day
Job Responsibilities:
- Following established recipes and procedures to prepare and bake a variety of baked goods.
- Measuring, weighing, and combining ingredients accurately to create doughs, batters, and fillings.
- Operating and monitoring ovens, mixers, and other baking equipment to ensure proper baking times and temperatures.
- Ensuring the quality of ingredients and finished products, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Taking special orders, answering customer inquiries, and providing recommendations.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including equipment and utensils.
- Monitoring stock levels and ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
- Packaging and labeling baked goods for sale or storage.
- Cleaning and maintaining baking equipment and utensils.
- Ensuring all food surfaces and baking equipment meet all health and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Prior baking experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to follow & execute recipes consistently.
- Must be able to read and understand English
- Flexible schedule needed for weekends and holidays
- Be organized, multi-task and manage time well.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain an energetic, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
- Provide excellent customer service, and have excellent communication skills.
- Work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay: $16.00 - $19.50 per hour
