About Us
Premium & Exotic Wholesale is the largest custom hauler truck
dealership in the United States. For more than 15 years we have
hand-selected, reconditioned, and delivered over 1,000 trucks to
customers in all 50 states. We specialize in Freightliner
SportChassis, Peterbilt, Western Hauler, Laredo, and custom
conversions, sold through an appointment-only, indoor showroom model.
Our inventory is premium, our standards are high, and our content has
to match.
We are looking for a skilled videographer and photographer to make our
trucks look as good on screen as they do in person.
The Role
Content is a core sales function here. The faster and better a truck
is photographed and filmed, the faster it sells. You will own the
visual content for our inventory and our brand: shooting, editing, and
delivering professional photo and video that drives listings, leads,
and sales across YouTube, social media, and our website.
This is a hands-on production role. You shoot on-site at our
Bloomington facility, then edit and deliver off-site on your own
schedule. As an independent contractor, you control your own hours and
methods. What we care about is productive output and turnaround, not
hours logged.
Note: This role is photo and video only. It does not include graphic
design or marketing-material production (ad graphics, spec cards,
thumbnails, print collateral). Any such work, if needed, is scoped
separately.
What You'll Produce
Per-vehicle inventory content (the core of the job):
- Listing photography: a minimum of 30 professional photos per vehicle
covering exterior, interior, engine bay, bed, hitch, wheels, key
features, and conversion details.
- 360 walkaround video (horizontal, for YouTube and listings): roughly
2 minutes covering the full exterior, engine compartment, storage,
hitch and bed, entry points, dashboard, and a branded outro.
- Hype reel (vertical, short-form social): under 20 seconds of hero
exterior and interior shots with a branded outro.
- Hosted walkthrough (vertical social): 45 to 60 seconds with
on-camera talent, wireless mic, on-screen captions, key specs, a call
to action, and a branded outro.
- Occasional long-form walkthrough (horizontal, YouTube): about 6
minutes, produced only on request for specific vehicles.
Additional brand content, directed week to week:
- On-camera talent reels, partnership content, brand and marketplace
shorts, and short-form social.
- Company showcase pieces highlighting what Premium & Exotic has built.
- Batch shoot days: on slow or low-inventory weeks, we use on-site
time to bank short-form content and shop B-roll.
Turnaround Standards
Time is of the essence. Following filming or reconditioning completion:
- Arrival content (when applicable): within 24 hours
- Full listing package: within 48 hours
- Walkthrough video: within 72 hours
Special or branded projects run on individually agreed timelines.
Quality Standards
- Professional editing, color correction, and stabilized footage.
- Clear audio, appropriate music, and on-screen captions on all video.
- Consistent use of our approved branding and official outro.
- Logging completed work in the system we provide so the team has
immediate visibility.
On-Site Availability
This role requires regular on-site shooting in Bloomington, so we need
someone within reasonable driving distance who can be here
consistently.
- To give you a sense of scope, the work typically runs about 2
on-site shoot days a week on average, plus editing and additional
content off-site. Volume rises and falls with our inventory.
- You propose your on-site availability windows and we coordinate
around vehicle readiness and our on-camera talent's travel dates, so
trucks are prepped and ready when you arrive. Tuesdays through Fridays
tend to work best on our end.
- Because prepping a vehicle and staging a shoot takes time, on-site
sessions are most productive as a few hours at a stretch rather than a
quick pass.
- You keep your planned shoot days visible to the team so we can
schedule vehicles and talent against them.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience shooting and editing professional photo and
video, ideally automotive, product, or commercial work. A reel or
portfolio is required.
- Your own professional camera, lens, audio, lighting, and editing setup.
- Strong editing skills: color, stabilization, captions, pacing, and
clean short-form and long-form cuts.
- Reliability and speed. You hit deadlines, communicate proactively
when something slips, and deliver consistent quality without
hand-holding.
- Comfort directing on-camera talent and working around a live showroom.
- Professional conduct and appearance on-site.
Compensation & Growth
- $2,000 per month base.
- Performance bonuses at the company's discretion for strong, consistent output.
- Pay increases tied to sustained quality, reliability, and growing
volume. This is not a stagnant rate. Do great work and your pay grows
with it.
- Compensation is reviewed regularly to reflect your output and growth.
- Paid monthly against your invoice.
Ownership
All photos, videos, raw footage, and edited content produced for
Premium & Exotic Wholesale become the exclusive property of the
company upon delivery and payment.
