Line Cook / Prep Cook
TRIAD Association Management is seeking an energetic, dependable, and team-oriented Line Cook / Prep Cook to support clubhouse dining and food and beverage operations within an active adult community.
This position is responsible for preparing and cooking quality food in a timely and consistent manner while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works well as part of a team, and understands the importance of providing residents and guests with a positive dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and complete daily food prep according to recipes, menus, and established standards
- Cook, prepare, and plate menu items accurately and consistently
- Set up and maintain assigned prep and line stations before, during, and after service
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, rotation, and temperature-control procedures
- Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen, prep, cooking, and storage areas
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing food and kitchen supplies
- Monitor food levels and communicate inventory or supply needs to the appropriate supervisor
- Minimize food waste through proper preparation, portioning, storage, and use of ingredients
- Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed to support operations
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety requirements
- Work collaboratively with chefs, servers, bartenders, and other team members to ensure efficient service
- Assist with community events, special functions, tastings, and other food and beverage activities as needed
- Maintain a positive attitude, professional appearance, and respectful interaction with residents, guests, vendors, and fellow team members
- Perform other food and beverage duties as assigned based on operational needs
Qualifications
- Previous line cook, prep cook, restaurant, hospitality, or food service experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices
- Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and preparation instructions
- Ability to work efficiently and remain organized in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, or move food, equipment, and supplies as needed
- Ability to work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, and varying temperatures
- Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Food Handler certification preferred or ability to obtain as required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check

This position requires punctuality, professionalism, teamwork, and a hospitality-focused attitude. The Line Cook / Prep Cook plays an important role in the overall resident and guest experience by helping ensure food is prepared safely, consistently, efficiently, and to established quality standards.
Team members are expected to support the entire food and beverage operation as needed while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, organization, cost awareness, and operational efficiency.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
