Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, 3 shift position. This position is located at our Independence, Missouri location and has a schedule of Sunday-Friday 10pm to 6am. This position is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment, ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting equipment, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing repairs, and documenting maintenance activities in MaintainX. The technician will carry out preventive maintenance schedules, respond to equipment breakdowns, and collaborate with operations staff to minimize downtime. The role also involves following safety protocols, supporting continuous improvement of maintenance processes, and assisting with equipment installation or upgrades as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Strong Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Demonstrate solid troubleshooting skills for mechanical and basic electrical issues.
- Knowledge in industrial maintenance practices and preventative maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Practice good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments within the business.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical or vocational training in maintenance or industrial technology is a plus.
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be mobile.
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
