Job Overview
The Director of Business Development plays a critical leadership role in driving revenue growth, expanding strategic partnerships, and guiding the business development team. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing growth strategies, overseeing the full sales cycle for high-value opportunities, and mentoring team members.
This role requires a strong balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution, with the ability to cultivate relationships at senior levels while ensuring flawless delivery of business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the Vice President of Business Development to define and execute growth strategies.
- Identify new markets, channels, and partnerships to expand Vant4ge’s footprint.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for priority opportunities, including procurement and RFPs.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Team Management & Mentorship
- Lead, coach, and mentor Business Development Coordinators and Managers.
- Oversee team goals, pipeline management, and performance metrics.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the Business Development team and organization as a whole.
Business Development Execution
- Lead major client pursuits, proposals, and negotiations.
- Oversee development and submission of RFP responses and procurement opportunities.
- Conduct software demonstrations and make presentations as needed.
- Represent Vant4ge at industry conferences, events, and executive meetings.
- Ensure CRM data integrity, pipeline visibility, and accurate forecasting.
- Collaborate with all other enterprise teams to align on growth initiatives.
- Forecast and track key performance metrics, sales results, and forecasts.
Market Insights & Reporting
- Conduct and oversee market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy.
- Monitor industry trends and policy developments in the justice system and SaaS landscape.
- Report regularly to executive leadership on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales (Corrections industry experience is strongly preferred; PaaS, SaaS or GovTech experience is also desired).
- 3+ years in a management or team leadership role.
- B2G experience is required.
- Proven track record of leading teams to meet and exceed revenue and partnership goals.
- Strong experience with RFPs, government procurement processes, and complex sales cycles.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50%, including occasional nights and weekends as required.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, Monday, HubSpot, or similar) and productivity tools.
- Strategic thinker with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Compensation Note: Compensation will be commensurate with experience; candidates with strong corrections and government SaaS sales leadership experience may be considered for higher placement within the posted range.

Preference will be given to candidates located in current operational states, including UT, ID, TN, FL, SC, and PA.
Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
