Direct Support Professional (DSP) | Weekday Afternoons
Job Summary:
Ameriwell Care is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a wonderful adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in providing caring supervision and support to help our individual thrive.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday
4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
10 hours per week
About the Role:
Your day will begin by meeting the individual at their day program, accompanying them home, and providing caring supervision and support until their mother arrives home from work. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent afternoon schedule that makes a meaningful difference in someone's life.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up the individual from their day program
- Safely accompany them home
- Provide companionship and supervision
- Assist with daily routines as needed
- Help create a calm, positive, and supportive environment
- Ensure the individual's safety until family arrives
What We're Looking For:
- Caring, patient, and dependable
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Experience supporting individuals with IDD is preferred, but we will train the right person
- Excellent communication skills
- Must pass all required background checks
