Registered Nurse (RN)
NO CALL / NO WEEKENDS - Open to Part-Time (1-3 days) or Full-Time (4 days)
Ophthalmology Multi Doctor practice in Frankfort and Lexington, KY is looking for a Registered Nurse to assist in patient care at our surgery center in Frankfort, KY. As a registered nurse, you’ll be our go-to person for ensuring the best patient care possible. As a Registered Nurse, you’ll have to work closely with other healthcare professionals and other ophthalmic assistants and technicians, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving skills and communication ability are important.
Responsibilities may include :
- Preparing patients for Eye Surgery including getting vitals, instilling eye drops and handling preoperative medications.
- OR room circulating or OR surgical scrub as needed.
- Helping patients with discharge instructions.
- Assisting the ophthalmologist in a clinic setting.
Skills
- Proven experience as an RN in a clinic, hospital, ASC or other setting
- Expertise in preoperative, surgical and post operative care a plus.
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong ethics
- Team spirit with a positive attitude
- Patience and cool-headedness
- Willingness to travel between offices
- Valid RN license
- Valid BLS
- Valid ACLS
Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour
