Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide catheter care and ensure proper hygiene practices are followed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Support patients with physical disabilities by providing mobility assistance and using appropriate systems for safe transfers.
- Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in urgent care situations by providing basic first aid and support as needed.
- Perform phlebotomy tasks when required, ensuring proper techniques are used for blood draws.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans based on individual needs.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to understand patient conditions and assist in their care effectively.
- Provide support for pediatric patients when necessary, demonstrating experience with children in a healthcare setting.
Requirements
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent training is preferred.
- Knowledge of catheter care procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology principles related to patient care.
- Previous experience in urgent care or ICU settings is a plus.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy tasks competently is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
