Legacy Home Health Care is seeking an experienced, people-focused Human Resources Director to join our leadership team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished HR professional who is passionate about developing people, building exceptional teams, and ensuring organizational excellence within a growing healthcare organization.
The Human Resources Director will lead all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment and retention, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and organizational development. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the unique challenges of supporting a healthcare workforce.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent across clinical and administrative positions.
- Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to support organizational growth.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare employment requirements and HR best practices.
- Oversee employee benefits administration, including enrollment, education, and vendor relationships.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee programs.
- Foster a positive, engaging workplace culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and employee satisfaction.
- Support leadership in succession planning, employee development, and retention initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
- Experience in healthcare, home health, or a similarly regulated industry is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in recruiting high-performing employees.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience administering employee benefit programs.
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
