Residential Construction Project Manager

Timbercrest Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee residential remodeling and home addition projects throughout Lapeer, Oakland, Macomb and surrounding areas.
We're looking for someone who understands residential construction, communicates confidently and takes ownership of keeping projects moving from kickoff through completion.
As Project Manager, you will take ownership of 2–3 active projects at a time. You will serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, Field Superintendent and subcontractors while managing schedules, materials and day-to-day project decisions.
This is not a desk-only project management position. You will regularly visit active job sites, stay closely connected to the field and proactively identify and solve problems before they become project delays.
What You'll Do
- Manage 2–3 residential construction projects from kickoff through completion
- Serve as the primary client contact throughout the construction process
- Visit active job sites regularly to monitor progress, quality and upcoming project needs
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors based on the project schedule
- Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractor questions and project coordination
- Work closely with our Field Superintendent to address job-site needs and keep projects moving
- Order and coordinate materials and supplies within established project budgets and scopes
- Responsibly manage company purchasing and expenses using a company-issued credit card
- Maintain project schedules and proactively communicate upcoming needs, changes or delays
- Make day-to-day project decisions within the approved scope and budget
- Identify potential scope or budget changes and escalate them to company leadership before work proceeds
- Coordinate communication between clients, the field team and subcontractors
- Drive projects toward an organized, high-quality completion
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of residential construction experience, with at least 2–3 years in a project management, superintendent, lead carpenter, or similar construction leadership role.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and job-site operations
- Ability to independently manage 2–3 active construction projects
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, materials and project schedules
- Organized, proactive and able to anticipate project needs
- Confident making day-to-day project decisions within an established scope and budget
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to know when an issue needs to be escalated
- Comfortable using construction project management software, mobile apps and other technology to manage schedules, communication and project documentation
- Experience with JobTread or similar construction management software is a plus, but not required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Compensation
$80,000-$100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
