Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team at Investments Limited. In this vital role, you will oversee day-to-day tenant billing, payment processing, and account reconciliation. This role requires strong analytical skills to research discrepancies, excellent communication to collaborate with internal teams, and a high level of accuracy in maintaining ledger integrity.
Duties
· Payment Processing & Reconciliation: Manage the accurate intake and posting of high-volume tenant payments (checks, wires, ACH). Research and resolve unapplied funds or payments with missing account documentation.
· Ledger Maintenance & Fee Management: Oversee routine account assessments and post applicable fees to established accounts. Audit ledgers regularly to ensure accuracy and prevent duplicate entries.
· Internal Collaboration & Account Adjustments: Partner closely with Account Managers to review tenant accounts, execute approved fee waivers, and perform necessary payment reallocations based on specific tenant agreements.
· Utility Billing & Tenant Chargebacks: Review corporate utility statements to identify reimbursable corporate expenses and accurately execute tenant back-charges.
· Ad Hoc Financial Support: Assist the accounting and finance departments with special projects, reporting, and administrative tasks as operational needs arise.
Requirements
· Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, general bookkeeping, or property management accounting.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software and property management platforms (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, etc.) alongside strong Microsoft Excel skills.
· Problem-Solving: Excellent research and investigative skills to resolve payment and billing discrepancies.
· Attention to Detail: High level of precision when entering financial data and auditing tenant ledgers.
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
