Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study, and minimum of 8 years of progressive procurement experience, preferably within commercial construction, large-scale project environments, or supplier experience desired, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Construction industry experience and knowledgeable of building construction types
- Ability to interpret, contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project and procurement schedules
- Knowledge of estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing and engineering principles and techniques, general contract and subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, and familiar accounting and cost control procedures
- Experience analyzing supplier proposals, including pricing, scope alignment, qualifications, and documenting procurement recommendations
- Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Project management skills, able to manage high volumes of work and ability to move projects forward in a complex environment in a timely manner
- Supervisory experience required; able to observe performance, identify areas of development, and deliver performance feedback
- Interpersonal relationship building skills; ability to engage and secure partnerships with broad range of contacts in construction and supply chain industry, and effectively works across organizational levels and across company
- Negotiation skills with ability to influence and engage others
- Advanced presentation delivery skills; anticipate needs and tailor communications appropriately
- Process and critical thinking skills with sound judgement decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of continuous improvement culture, concepts, principles, methods, and tools
- Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications with intermediate Excel skills, knowledge of SharePoint, and collaboration tools
