Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs to foster a welcoming atmosphere
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and balancing registers at shift end
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of various items
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store displays are attractive and well-maintained
- Assist with merchandising efforts to highlight promotions and new products effectively
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering upselling suggestions, and maintaining phone etiquette when assisting via phone or in person
- Support inventory management through stocking, inventory counts, and product replenishment
- Engage in product knowledge sharing to help customers make informed purchasing decisions
- Supervise or assist with supervising team members when needed to ensure smooth store operations
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions
- Strong supervising or leadership experience in a retail setting is a plus
- Ability to demonstrate products confidently through demos and upselling techniques
- Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette and customer engagement
- Basic math skills for handling cash register operations, retail math calculations, and cash drawer balancing
- Knowledge of retail store product merchandising and inventory stocking procedures
- Familiarity with retail sales techniques, upselling strategies, and customer service best practices
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
