Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bartender/Gatekeeper to join our dynamic team. The Gatekeeper will play a crucial role in managing the entry and exit points of our venue, ensuring a smooth and secure experience for all guests. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle various tasks related to food service and event management.
Duties
- Monitor and control access to the venue, ensuring that only authorized individuals enter.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly and assisting with inquiries.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
- Utilize POS system for processing orders and managing sales transactions efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the gate area, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Support bartending staff during busy periods, including serving drinks and managing inventory as needed.
- Engage with guests to promote upcoming events or specials, enhancing overall guest experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or retail is preferred but not required, particularly in roles involving cash handling and customer interaction.
- Familiarity with food handling practices is essential for maintaining safety standards.
- Background in catering or nightclub environments is advantageous but not required.
- Skills in sales, bartending, or retail math will be beneficial for this role.
