American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Open Heart ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency, with night shift scheduling and every-other-weekend requirements.

Open Heart Intensive Care Unit (OHICU) is a 10-bed ICU in an acute care hospital setting
-
Cares for critically ill and post-operative cardiothoracic, cardiovascular, and general surgery patients aged 18 and older
-
Procedures include invasive hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, arrhythmia monitoring and intervention, pacemaker/ICD management, IABP management, CRRT, VAD management, and ECMO

Uses Epic EMR

Night shift: 7p–7a, 3x12-hour shifts per week
-
Every other weekend required
-
May float to all ICU floors and med/surg floors as needed
-
Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
-
No on-call requirements
-
Active PA or Compact RN license required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required

Epic EMR experience required
-
Must be prepared to pass an EKG exam on the first attempt — failure risks contract cancellation

Candidate profiles are reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit before being forwarded to the hiring manager for a final decision, which includes a manager interview

May be assigned to care for COVID-positive patients
