Work From Anywhere in Texas
This position may be fully remote for the right candidate.
Our firm operates on a secure cloud-based platform, allowing qualified employees to work efficiently from virtually anywhere while remaining fully connected to our attorneys, staff, and clients.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal / Legal Assistant to provide litigation and case management support to our attorneys while delivering exceptional service to our clients.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, self-motivated, dependable, and capable of managing multiple cases and deadlines with minimal supervision.
This position offers substantial responsibility, professional growth, and the opportunity to become an integral part of a collaborative and service-oriented legal team.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, inventories, proposed orders, and other family law documents.
● Prepare cases for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial.
● Prepare and organize exhibits.
● Manage and maintain electronic client files using MyCase.
● Track litigation deadlines and court settings.
● Electronically file documents with Texas courts.
● Coordinate hearings, mediations, consultations, and client meetings.
● Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and legal professionals.
● Maintain detailed case notes and activity within MyCase.
● Request, organize, and review client records and supporting documentation.
● Assist attorneys with legal research using Westlaw.
● Assist with billing, client payments, and administrative tasks.
● Maintain strict confidentiality of client information.
● Perform additional duties necessary to provide exceptional legal service.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
● Minimum of two years of Texas family law experience as a paralegal or legal assistant.
● Demonstrated experience using MyCase Case Management Software.
● Experience with Texas electronic filing.
● Experience preparing pleadings, discovery, and litigation documents.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and OneDrive.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
● Strong attention to detail.
● Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
● Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the legal team.
● Strong computer and technology skills.
● Professional judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience using Westlaw.
● Experience preparing cases for mediation and trial.
● Texas Notary Public commission (or willingness to obtain).
● Experience using cloud-based telephone systems such as Cytracom.
