SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated Junior Pressman to support daily printing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for someone looking to build hands-on experience in flexographic printing while learning from experienced operators. The role focuses on assisting with press setup, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth workflow throughout production runs. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist senior press operators with preparing and setting up printing presses for production runs.
- Help mount plates, load materials, install dies, and prepare inks as directed.
- Monitor press operations and alert operators to any issues with alignment, color, or material flow.
- Conduct visual inspections of printed materials to check for basic quality concerns.
- Support ink mixing and material staging to ensure production stays on schedule.
- Clean press components, cylinders, plates, and surrounding work areas to maintain safety and efficiency.
- Follow job tickets and production instructions under supervision.
- Maintain accurate basic production notes and report any downtime or mechanical concerns.
- Adhere to safety procedures and contribute to an organized, team-oriented workspace.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous manufacturing or printing experience preferred but not required.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn press operations.
- Ability to read measurements and perform basic math calculations.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting materials up to 50 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Open to training and cross-learning different equipment and processes.
