Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, ensuring quality and consistency in every drink.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Serve customers with friendly, prompt service while maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café space, including food handling areas, beverage stations, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick turnaround of orders without compromising quality.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed to keep the café fully operational.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and managing sales accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours.
