Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions using standardized tools and clinical observations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, including goals and therapeutic interventions.
- Provide evidence-based speech therapy services to pediatric patients, including those in early intervention programs.
- Collaborate closely with educators, physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care strategies.
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on communication techniques, strategies for improvement, and home practice exercises.
- Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology practices and incorporate new methods into therapy sessions.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistic patient care.
- Support the implementation of school-based programs when applicable, ensuring compliance with educational standards.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of physiology, anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions.
Skills
- Proven experience working with pediatric populations and early intervention settings.
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques and assessment tools.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to communication disorders.
