Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by regularly sanitizing work surfaces, sinks, and storage spaces to uphold sanitation standards.
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing plates during service to support seamless food delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots or crates of supplies while following proper ergonomic practices.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances necessary for food prep support.
- Follow all food handling protocols to ensure safety and prevent cross-contamination in line with restaurant health standards.
- Support food preparation activities when needed by assisting with basic tasks under supervision, contributing to overall kitchen efficiency.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential!
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or prep stations is a plus.
