Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and energetic Manicurist and Nail Technician to join our vibrant beauty team! In this role, you will deliver exceptional nail care services that leave clients feeling pampered, confident, and beautiful. Your expertise in nail artistry, customer service, and sanitation will ensure a safe, welcoming environment where clients can indulge in top-tier treatments. We do need someone who knows Russian manicure and pedicures.
The pay would be hourly and commission as well for the services. We need someone to be able to take walk ins as well as appointments. Starting with 2-3 days a week but there is a possibility for more.
Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic and nail extensions with precision and artistry
- Apply and shape nail enhancements such as acrylics, gel nails, and other nail extensions using industry-standard techniques
- Conduct thorough sanitation and disinfection procedures to maintain salon safety protocols and ensure a hygienic environment
- Provide personalized client consultations to recommend suitable nail treatments and care routines based on individual needs
- Educate clients on proper nail care, maintenance tips, and retail product recommendations to enhance their experience
- Stay current with the latest trends in color theory, nail art, and industry innovations to deliver creative designs that wow clients
- Upsell retail products such as nail polishes, treatments, and accessories to boost sales while enhancing client satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a manicurist or nail technician within the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of work
- Certification or licensing in cosmetology or esthetician practices as required by local regulations
- Expertise in applying gel manicures, acrylic nails, nail extensions, and performing pedicures with attention to detail
- Knowledge of salon safety protocols including sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and proper tool sterilization
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and understand their preferences
- Familiarity with advanced techniques like dermabrasion, eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling, hair threading, esthetic laser treatments, and barbering is a plus
- Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform precise manual work
