Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Account Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing client accounts, processing financial transactions, and providing exceptional customer service within a dynamic retail or financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail sales, banking, or financial services, along with strong data entry and math skills. Duties
- Processing invoices, reconciling accounts, applying and collecting payments, and ensuring the accuracy and timelines of all financial transacions
- Generate and send accurate customer invoices in a timely manner apply daily incomeing payments to customer accounts in QBO systems
- Review and process employee expense reports and corporate credit card reconciliations monitor accounts to ensure timely vendor payments and avoid late fees
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and up to date records for all AP and AR transactions
- Provide excellent customer service to both vendors and customers prepare reports on AP/AR status, aging, and cash flow for management
- Assist with audits byu providing requested documentation
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency in AP/AR workflows
- Support other accounting team members and perform additional duties as assigned
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales, banking, or financial services preferred
- Retail store experience is a plus, especially involving cash handling or cashiering duties
- Familiarity with financial software systems used for data entry and account management
- Strong basic math skills including retail math, cash handling, and 10 key typing proficiency
- Experience with processing cash transactions and managing cash drawers accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Knowledge of loan processing, loan collections, and retail lending practices is advantageous
- Ability to perform data entry efficiently while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
