Position Overview
We are looking for reliable, self-motivated Full-Time Openers/General Staff to join our team. This is a key-holder position responsible for preparing the store for business each day. The ideal candidate is an early riser, highly dependable, and experienced in grocery, retail, or food service environments.
Schedule:
- Full-time, 5 days per week (including weekends on rotation)
- Shift start time: 7:00 or 8:00 a.m.
Responsibilities:
- Open the store and ensure it is ready for customers at opening time
- Perform opening tasks including: unlocking and securing premises, setting up registers and tills, stocking and facing shelves as needed, checking perishable items for quality and freshness, brewing coffee, prepping bakery/deli displays
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service throughout the shift
- Prepare deli orders, including making sandwiches, slicing meats and cheeses, and maintaining deli displays
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries
- Handle basic point-of-sale operations and cash handling
- Communicate effectively with management and coworkers
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Prior retail, grocery, or food service experience highly valued
- Proven reliability and punctuality
- Comfortable working independently in the early morning
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Positive attitude and team player mindset
