Are you passionate about nutrition and making a meaningful impact in your community? Join our growing WIC team as a WIC Nutrition Coordinator and help families develop healthy habits that support lifelong wellness.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate Nutritionist, Registered Dietitian, Nutrition Educator, or Nutrition Coach who enjoys working directly with children and families. You'll provide individualized nutrition counseling, education, and support while empowering participants to make healthy, practical choices for themselves and their families.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for WIC participants.
- Determine nutritional risk and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
- Provide one-on-one nutrition counseling and nutrition behavior therapy.
- Educate families on healthy eating, meal planning, infant feeding, and age-appropriate nutrition.
- Provide lactation counseling and breastfeeding support.
- Counsel high-risk participants and provide ongoing nutritional monitoring and follow-up.
- Develop practical nutrition plans tailored to each family's needs, preferences, and lifestyle.
- Document assessments and nutrition education accurately in accordance with WIC guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Stay current with WIC regulations, nutrition guidelines, and best practices.
- Deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive care while building trusting relationships with families.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutrition Science, or a related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credentials are strongly preferred.
- Experience in WIC, community nutrition, public health, clinical nutrition, nutrition counseling, or nutrition education is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and counseling skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and sensitive to the unique needs of children and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
