Pay: $17.50/hour
What you'll do
Walmart is stepping up its game and remodeling stores to look top notch! Ok with getting your hands dirty? Apply today! These are temporary positions with permanent opportunities available after the project based on performance and store availability.
Associates will assist in remodeling facilities by dismantling fixtures and displays, stocking merchandise, setting up product displays; performing and updating fixture signing; assisting with store systems (for example, Point of Sale (POS); and cleaning departments in areas that have been remodeled.
Remodel Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in remodeling facilities
- Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
- Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs
- Partners with store operations associates
- Provides customer service
- Receives and stocks merchandise throughout the facility and organizes and maintains the backroom
- Working with offsite fixture warehouse associates
- Must have strong physical stamina and the ability to move and lift heavy objects up to 25 lbs. without assistance
Stocking Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains inventory accuracy for the facility by binning and picking merchandise; utilizing the inventory management system; completing bin audits; working inventory exceptions; and correcting shelf capacities.
- Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise; removing damaged or out-of-date goods; setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays; signing and pricing merchandise appropriately; and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
- Receives and stocks merchandise throughout the facility and organizes and maintains the backroom by following company safety, cleaning, and operating procedures; utilizing equipment appropriately; setting up displays; maintaining modular integrity; receiving, sorting, staging, and delivering merchandise; and completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
- Helps ensure the proper execution of the customer inventory flow process, the maintenance of backroom standards, the unloading of trucks, the correct processing of freight, and that the backroom is ready for incoming freight.
