Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and drive sustainable growth in a multiple entity healthcare organization that has locations in Westmoreland and Allegheny counties. The CFO will oversee all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring robust financial management, compliance with accounting standards, and effective risk mitigation. This role requires a visionary leader with exceptional financial and strategic planning skills, and a passion for fostering organizational success. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in shaping financial strategies, managing stakeholder relationships, and guiding the organization through complex financial landscapes with confidence and clarity.
Duties
- Oversee all accounting functions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Lead budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage financial reporting activities, including the preparation of detailed financial reports and variance analysis for stakeholders.
- Direct risk management initiatives by identifying potential financial risks and implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard assets.
- Oversee compliance with internal controls and external reporting requirements.
- Lead business development efforts by analyzing market opportunities, negotiating contracts, and supporting sales initiatives through sound financial insights.
- Prepare return on investment analysis for capital equipment purchases.
- Oversee monthly reconciliation between multiple billing and POS software platforms and the organization’s accounting software.
- Oversee monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances.
- Oversee compliance with HR regulations and oversee payroll preparation.
- Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, investors, and regulatory agencies to ensure transparency and trust.
- Provide leadership to the finance team by mentoring staff, promoting professional development, and cultivating a high-performance culture focused on organizational success
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or business
- Certified Public Accountant License preferred
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a leadership position
- Proven experience in senior financial management roles with a strong background in corporate finance
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting principles
- Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively while fostering collaboration
- Proficiency in financial software applications and general ledger systems
- Deep understanding of risk management practices within complex organizational settings
- Ability to communicate financial concepts into clear insights for stakeholders
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage 3-10 staff
- Perform technical review and approval of financial statements
- Occasional travel required
