The Associate Director Training Program is a means to attract prospective candidate(s) to serve on the Keys Federal Credit Union (KFCU) Board of Directors. This program will provide the opportunity for the Associate Directors to experience the duties and responsibilities of a director during the normal monthly meeting and special committee assignments without voting authority. This program does not guarantee those that serve in the Associate Director program a position on the Board of Directors. Associate Director members interested in obtaining a seat on the board will need be nominated for election during the annual membership meeting.
-
Candidates will submit a questionnaire/resume to the Associate Director Committee that lists, among other things, the applicant's interests, availability, eligibility, background, and qualifications.
-
Depending on the number of applications submitted, the Associate Director committee can select up to three qualified candidates from the list.
- Personal interviews will be left to the discretion of the Associate Director Committee.
-
At the next convening board meeting, the Associate Director Committee will make known the individuals selected. Resumes and any other applicable material will be presented to the Board of Directors for their review and comment. Once the review process is complete, the Board of Directors will then vote to approve/disapprove the appointment of the prospective candidates(s).
- The Associate Director committee will notify by letter and in a timely manner those applicants that were not considered for selection to the Associate Director program.
-
Appointees will serve a minimum of one-year term.
-
Terms will be at the discretion for the Associate Director Committee with the majority approval of the Board.
-
Appointments will generally occur each April after the reorganization meeting or by special consideration during the current board year.
-
The candidate must be a member in good standing of the KFCU.
-
The candidate must agree to an KFCU background and credit report investigation.
-
The approved candidate must adhere to all Keys Federal Credit Union Policies.
-
