Job Summary
Wax Vinyl Bar & Ramen Shop is looking for a dependable, hardworking dishwasher who wants to be more than "just the dishwasher."
If you're interested in learning the line, helping with prep, and becoming an important part of a small kitchen team, we'd love to meet you. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys working nights, takes pride in keeping a kitchen running smoothly, and wants the opportunity to grow.
Please note: This is a late-night position. Most shifts end around 2:00 a.m. If you don't enjoy working evenings and late nights, this probably isn't the right fit.
What You'll Do
- Operate and maintain the commercial dishwashing machine
- Wash cookware, dishes, glassware, and utensils quickly and thoroughly
- Keep the dish area clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen cleanliness throughout the shift
- Wash kitchen towels and rags weekly
- Assist with food prep and support the kitchen as business demands
- Learn line responsibilities with opportunities to take on additional kitchen duties over time
Qualifications
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Familiarity with operating basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, ovens, or prep stations is a plus
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and adhering to health standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting the kitchen staff and overall restaurant operations
- Previous catering, banquet, hotel, or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
