Position Overview
Elite Care Northwest is seeking experienced, compassionate, and highly skilled CNA caregivers who are comfortable caring for clients with advanced medical and personal care needs.
This position is ideal for caregivers who enjoy working with medically complex clients and have experience providing hands-on care while maintaining professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication with families and healthcare providers.
Preferred Clinical Experience
We are especially interested in caregivers who have experience with:
- Hoyer lifts and other mechanical transfer equipment
- Oxygen therapy and oxygen safety
- BiPAP and CPAP support
- Feeding tubes (PEG/G-tube care and feeding assistance)
- Urinary catheter care
- Nephrostomy tube care and monitoring
- Diabetes management and insulin administration (within CNA scope and agency policies)
- Mobility assistance for clients with neurological or physical disabilities
- Fall prevention and transfer assistance
- Dementia and memory care
- Hospice and end-of-life care
- Post-hospitalization and post-surgical recovery support
- Clients requiring extensive assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, client-centered personal care
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Perform safe transfers using gait belts, sit-to-stand devices, and Hoyer lifts as needed
- Monitor and report changes in client condition
- Assist with medication reminders and observation
- Support clients using oxygen, BiPAP/CPAP equipment, feeding tubes, catheters, and other medical equipment as directed
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the care team
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement
- Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and household organization
- Promote a safe and comfortable home environment
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Washington State CNA license (or HCA with significant high-acuity experience)
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience in home care, assisted living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, hospice, or related healthcare settings
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Highly Preferred:
- Experience with Hoyer lifts and complex transfers
- Experience supporting clients using oxygen, BiPAP/CPAP, feeding tubes, catheters, or nephrostomy tubes
- Hospice, dementia care, or rehabilitation experience
- Experience caring for medically fragile or high-needs clients
