A happy member starts with you! Tellers are the face of our Credit Union, often the first to meet new members and the ones who start them on the path to reach their financial goals. By having a conversation, we can understand our member's needs and create solutions to address them.
Primary Responsibilities
- Processing member transactions with accuracy, professionalism and a high level of service.
- Answer basic member inquiries regarding products and services while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
- Accurately and balancing cash Items, and adhere to all branch procedural controls.
- Asking questions and having conversations with clients to learn about their financial needs and when necessary, introducing them to other employees for assistance with products and services.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous Cash Handling Experience either at a Bank or Credit Union.
- Basic Math and Numeric Sequencing Aptitude.
- Willing and able to follow instructions and work under established internal controls, operational procedures and risk management policies.
Skills and Competencies
- Outgoing personality with good communication skills which include speaking clearly, concisely and accurately while using a pleasant tone and common conversational courtesies either with members in person or on the phone.
- Going the extra mile to greet members, show them that we care and making them feel welcome.
- Client-centric focus with the ability to stay positive in interactions with members and other team members.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience offering products and services.
- Basic Microsoft Office Skills.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications and utilize web-based search tools to research information.
