- Conduct vital signs assessments and review medical histories to support accurate patient evaluations
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documenting all patient interactions clearly and thoroughly
- Follow infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to uphold healthcare infection prevention standards
- Review medical records for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations
- Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment with familiarity in dental terminology and equipment
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pediatric dentistry practices to effectively serve diverse patient populations
- Demonstrated expertise in infection control practices, including aseptic technique and healthcare infection prevention protocols
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate effectively
