Looking for a cooking position with daytime hours and no late nights?
The Little Grass Shack is looking for a dependable, motivated Cook to join our team. We're searching for someone whose primary focus is cooking and food preparation. While our team is cross-trained and everyone helps wherever needed, this position will spend the majority of the time in the kitchen preparing breakfast and lunch while helping deliver a great experience for our customers.
We are open to both full-time and part-time candidates. Weekend availability, including Saturdays, is required, with Sunday shifts becoming part of the schedule as we continue to grow. Additional weekday shifts are available based on business needs, making this a great opportunity for someone looking for either a consistent part-time schedule or a full-time position.

What You'll Do
- Prepare breakfast and lunch menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Cook food safely, efficiently, and consistently during busy meal periods
- Prep ingredients for daily service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and kitchen organization
- Support front-of-house operations when needed as part of our cross-trained team
- Help create a welcoming experience for every customer
What We're Looking For
- Previous cooking, line cook, grill cook, or food preparation experience preferred
- Experience working in a restaurant, café, deli, or fast-paced kitchen environment is a plus
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to multitask while maintaining quality and efficiency
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a small team
- Comfortable helping in other areas of the café when needed
- ServSafe Certification is required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
Schedule
- Hours of operation: 8:00a-2:30p
- Primarily daytime shifts - NO LATE NIGHTS!
- Weekday shifts as needed
- Saturday availability is required
- Sunday availability will be required as operations expand

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Previous cooking or food preparation experience
- ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain
- Must be able to successfully complete a background screening and drug test
