What You'll Do:
- Compile and analyze financial information for preparing and booking journal entries.
- Complete a variety of month-end closing tasks independently.
- Reconcile various general ledger accounts to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Maintain and update standard monthly reports used by management.
- Collaborate with sister companies to do monthly intercompany reconciliation.
- Analyze statistical information and performance metrics to evaluate operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget and forecast, identify problems and opportunities, and present practical solutions.
- Prepare sales and use tax reports and submit payments.
- Research and apply the appropriate accounting treatment for new transactions.
- Maintain compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For:
- 5 years of accounting, tax, or finance experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills (SAP or ERP knowledge is a plus).
- Great attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication skills.
