The Restoration Technician assists with on‑site disaster response activities, including water mitigation, fire and smoke cleaning, mold remediation, and biohazard cleanup. You will work under the direction of a Lead Technician or Project Manager to complete tasks safely, efficiently, and according to industry standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesField Operations & Technical Work

Respond to emergency service calls throughout the Atlanta area.

Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke cleaning, mold remediation, and general cleanup tasks.

Set up, operate, and monitor drying and air filtration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA air scrubbers).

Assist with demolition, debris removal, content manipulation, and pack‑outs.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites, vehicles, and equipment.
Team Support & Communication

Follow direction from Lead Technicians and Project Managers to ensure efficient workflow.

Communicate professionally with customers and team members.

Document work performed, moisture readings, and equipment usage using mobile apps or paper forms.

Represent the company with professionalism, courtesy, and a customer‑first mindset.
Safety & Compliance

Follow all OSHA safety procedures and company policies.

Wear required PPE and participate in jobsite safety briefings.

Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or incidents immediately.

Handle chemicals, equipment, and contaminated materials safely and responsibly.
QualificationsExperience
-
Prior experience in restoration, construction, general labor, or related fields is preferred but not required.

Willingness to learn restoration techniques and industry standards.
Certifications (Preferred but Not Required)

IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT).
-
Additional IICRC certifications (ASD, FSRT, AMRT) are a plus.
Skills & Abilities

Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.

Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools.

Ability to communicate clearly in English; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Comfort using mobile apps for documentation and timekeeping.

Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Ability to lift and carry 50–75 lbs. regularly; up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and ladder use.

Work in confined spaces, attics, crawlspaces, and environments with mold, dust, and debris.

Must pass a medical evaluation and fit test for respirator use.

Availability for evenings, weekends, and participation in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.
