Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with psychiatric experience to join our growing practice on a part-time basis. This provider will deliver high-quality outpatient psychiatric care, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up appointments for patients across the lifespan.
This is an in-person position only at our clinic in The Woodlands, Texas. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available.
The schedule consists of two days per week on a rotating weekday schedule:
- Week 1: Monday & Thursday
- Week 2: Tuesday & Friday
- This rotation repeats on an ongoing basis.
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of mental health conditions using evidence-based practices.
- Develop individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications in accordance with licensure and scope of practice.
- Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinic staff to provide exceptional patient care.
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and professional practice standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Texas APRN license with PMHNP-BC certification or current, unrestricted Texas Physician Assistant license.
- Current DEA registration and Texas prescribing authority.
- Minimum of one (1) year of outpatient psychiatric experience as a PMHNP or Physician Assistant is required.
- Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
