Make a difference across multiple communities as a Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year! This rewarding, full-time contract position runs from July 2026 through June 2027, providing vital support to PreK-8 students in diverse schools throughout the greater Chicago and North Chicago areas. Your ability to deliver speech and language services in both English and Spanish will ensure all students get access to the communication skills they need to thrive—whether in Great Lakes, North Chicago, or Waukegan.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
- Active SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Valid state licensure for Illinois
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory
- Previous school-based experience preferred, especially with PreK-8 student populations
- Strength in collaboration and adaptability across multiple sites
- Passion for student-centered, culturally responsive practices
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students in both English and Spanish
- Maintain documentation and progress monitoring as required by district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student IEP goals
- Travel between school sites within the specified Chicagoland area (in-person presence is essential)
- Work with multidisciplinary teams for student care coordination
