Shannon Optical has been a leader in providing prescription safety eyewear programs to industries nationwide. Today, as a third-generation family-owned business, our focus remains on providing quality prescription safety eyewear programs.
We are looking for a qualified optician (licensed is nice, but not a requirement) with at least 1-year of experience for our company. The candidate should be proficient in all forms of glasses adjustment, troubleshooting, and some repairs. Additionally, they should be comfortable suggesting and promoting options such as anti-reflective coatings, progressive lenses, sunwear, etc. We are looking for someone with customer service experience and a strong computer skill set.
Duties to Include:
- Answer incoming calls from customers in a professional manner.
- Receive new orders, input RX orders correctly into an ordering portal.
- Address and resolve customer requests and issues related to lab, lenses, services, pricing, product via Phone & E-mail.
- Locate an order’s current or past position in the office by checking in computer system.
- Assist walk-in customers with ordering eyewear and dispensing said eyewear.
- Shipping and invoicing completed eyewear via Stamps.com.
- Handling projects on an as-needed basis.
- Reporting to the Vice President of the company.
Requirements:
- Preferred knowledge and understanding of the optical industry.
- Ability to represent the company professionally.
- Willingness and ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and follow-through.
- Effective knowledge and use of Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Strong computer skills.
Hours:
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
