Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk with strong computer skills to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing shipping and receiving operations, utilizing various inventory management and warehouse management systems to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments using shipping & receiving procedures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to trade compliance standards.
- Utilize warehouse management systems, ERP platforms, and inventory management software to track stock levels, update records, and coordinate order fulfillment.
- Operate equipment such as reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and organize inventory efficiently.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately within systems like AS400 and MRPs to maintain real-time inventory data.
- Assist with packaging, picking & packing orders, and ensuring proper labeling for domestic and international shipments.
- Manage stock replenishment activities including stocking, inventory management, and cycle counts.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve shipment issues promptly and provide tracking updates.
- Support warehouse operations by maintaining safety standards and optimizing workflow processes.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and shipping logistics requirements.
- Use RF scanners and other technology tools to streamline order picking, packing, and inventory control processes.
Skills
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or MRPs.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management software and shipping logistics procedures.
- Experience with warehouse operations including stocking, order picking & packing, load & unload activities.
- Ability to operate equipment such as reach trucks, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and forklifts safely.
- Basic math skills for accurate counting, measurements, and calculations related to shipping weights or dimensions.
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for maintaining precise records.
- Customer service orientation with effective communication skills across diverse teams.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards.
- Knowledge of e-commerce fulfillment processes and packaging requirements.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
