Parts Front Counter Salesperson
The Parts Front Counter Salesperson is responsible for providing excellent customer service by assisting customers, technicians, and service advisors with parts inquiries, identifying correct parts, processing sales, and maintaining an organized parts counter. This role supports efficient operations, accurate inventory control, and positive customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally at the parts counter
- Assist customers, technicians, and service advisors in identifying and selecting the correct parts
- Process parts sales, returns, special orders, and warranty transactions accurately
- Answer phone calls and respond to parts inquiries in a timely manner
- Proactively engage existing and potential customers to identify needs, provide product solutions, and communicate current sales opportunities and trends.
- Maintain accurate documentation of parts transactions and inventory levels
- Receive, stock, label, and organize incoming parts shipments
- Monitor inventory and notify management of shortages or discrepancies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant parts counter and storage areas
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and loss prevention practices
- Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in parts sales, retail, diesel, or equipment environments preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer skills, including point-of-sale and inventory systems
- Ability to identify parts using catalogs, diagrams, or electronic systems (training provided)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

Work Environment
- Primarily performed at the front counter within the parts department
- Frequent interaction with customers, technicians, and service personnel
- Indoor environment with occasional exposure to warehouse conditions such as noise, dust, and temperature variation
- Standing and moving between counter and storage areas throughout the day
- Occasional lifting and moving parts up to 50 lbs. (with assistance as needed)
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the workday
- Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 lbs. (with assistance as needed)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required
