QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Holds a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College
-
Meets all licensure requirements including teaching or specialist area endorsement in the state of Illinois

Demonstrates current pedagogical practices in the classroom through participation in a professional learning community
-
Demonstrates ability to utilize a variety of data sources and problem-solving structures in order to ensure the academic and social-emotional success of all students. Makes data-driven decisions using formative and summative assessments
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Planning and Preparation
-
Demonstrates content knowledge and makes connections between content and all relevant disciplines.

Understands child and adolescent development and displays an understanding of how students learn.

Establishes and clearly articulates instructional outcomes based upon district curriculum guidelines, state standards, and/or content standards.

Utilizes personnel resources as appropriate to enhance content and pedagogical knowledge.
-
Provides relevant instructional goals that represent significant cognitive challenge with differentiation and meaningful learning.

Uses assessment results to plan and modify instruction.

Participates in IEP conferences including the preparation of IEP goals and paperwork in compliance with established laws, regulations, district policies and procedures.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Employment determined by school calendar.

Salary and benefits to be established in the Negotiated Agreement with the Board of Education. Commensurate with Experience, however starting salary for is $53,990.

EVALUATION:
The School Principal and/or immediate administrative supervisor will serve as the evaluator with the evaluation incorporating the guidelines established in the Evaluation Plan for Licensed Staff.
