Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Commercial Electricians for an upcoming ULTA LED Lighting Retrofit Project throughout New York and New Jersey. This is a short-term project opportunity focused on upgrading existing retail lighting systems, replacing fixtures, and completing electrical modifications in active commercial locations.
The ideal candidate will have commercial electrical experience, preferably with retail lighting retrofits, and be comfortable working efficiently while maintaining safety, quality, and professionalism on job sites.
Project Schedule & Locations
Each project location will run for one full week (Sunday through Saturday).
- Staten Island, NY – Week of August 30 – September 5
- Deptford, NJ – Week of September 13 – September 19
- Rockaway, NJ – Week of September 27 – October 3
- Edgewater, NJ – Week of October 4 – October 10
- Kingston, NY – Week of October 18 – October 24
- Niagara Falls, NY – Week of October 25 – October 31
Scope of Work
Electricians will be responsible for performing commercial LED retrofit work, including:
- Replacing existing fluorescent and CFL fixtures with new LED fixtures.
- Installing LED strip fixtures, downlights, shelf lighting, and other retail lighting systems.
- Installing and replacing exit signs and emergency lighting equipment.
- Performing electrical connections, wiring, and terminations.
- Installing emergency backup equipment/inverters as required.
- Removing and properly disposing of existing lighting materials.
- Completing miscellaneous electrical modifications related to retrofit installations.
- Working safely from ladders, lifts, and other equipment.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Following project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous commercial electrical experience required.
- Retail lighting retrofit experience preferred.
- Experience replacing lighting fixtures and completing electrical modifications.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, terminations, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
- Ability to work scheduled Sunday–Saturday project weeks.
- Reliable transportation to job sites.
- Basic electrical hand tools required.
- Journeyman license is preferred but not required.
