Essential Duties:
1. Communicate expectations and assign rotations/positions fairly and consistently to meet production schedules.
2. Coordinate product movement and processing with other departments and areas as necessary to meet production orders.
3. Relieve rotational laborers on production line as needed for unplanned breaks (restroom, etc.).
4. Monitor employee work performance, breaks, PPE, GMPs, and communicate issues to management.
5. Communicate with manager to meet production and supply needs.
6. Prepare product as it moves along the production line.
7. Ensure employees are properly trained and understand the requirements within the department. Personally conduct training or pair the employee with an experienced employee for training. Follow-up with trainer to ensure that new employees are learning at a reasonable rate.
8. Implement and comply with all department specific programs (e.g., tool, pen, label, etc.).
9. Maintain quality, production, sanitation, food safety, and employee safety standards.
10. Comply with company and government regulations to ensure that employees are treated fairly and without bias or discrimination.
11. Maintain department performance within standards for efficient utilization of human resources.
12. Ensure that all production process and products adhere to GMP standards and customer specifications and are in compliance with the company’s HACCP plan.
13. Refer employee relations issues immediately to supervisor/manager, including disciplinary issues, employee concerns, performance issues, and reports of injury.
14. Follow FIFO on age-appropriate products.
15. Perform HACCP checks on production line when needed.
16. Maintain an accurate daily roster and turn in attendance daily within 30 minutes from start of shift.
17. Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of work area.
18. Perform other related responsibilities, as needed and assigned by management, to support Company business objectives.
Skills:
· Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a production environment.
· Ability to perform all rotational & premium jobs to standard for assigned line/dept.
· Poultry processing knowledge, including GMP’s and HACCP.
· Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to comply with standards.
· Good communication skills to effectively communicate with various levels within the company.
· Ability to work in a production environment.
· Ability to take direction and work with others as part of a team.
· Flexibility to changing duties, rotations and product requirements.
· Ability to carry out repetitive motions with arms, hands and wrists, including
fine motor skills to hold tools.
· Ability to reach shoulder height frequently.
· Ability to regularly stand, walk, and repetitively use arms, wrists and hands.
· Ability to lift, push or pull up from 10 to 60 lbs. on a regular basis.
· Maintain current pallet jack operator’s license.
· Ability to utilize hand tools such as Wizard knife, scissors, vacuum wands, knives, and other related equipment.
· Ability to complete applicable paperwork and forms in English
Pay: $20.50 per hour
