The Bilingual Insurance Account Assistant provides high-level administrative, clerical, and linguistic support to licensed Insurance Agents. This entry-level, unlicensed position focuses on managing data, handling routine client requests, and bridging communication gaps for non-English speaking clients to ensure high retention.Core Responsibilities
- Linguistic Support: Translate policy features, billing terms, and company communications clearly between English and the target language.
- Administrative Support: Input client data into agency management systems, scan documents, and maintain accurate digital files.
- Client Service: Answer incoming phone calls, greet office visitors, and route complex inquiries to licensed staff.
- Billing Assistance: Process routine premium payments, issue payment receipts, and assist clients with billing schedule questions.
- Document Management: Send existing policy documents, auto insurance ID cards, and certificates of insurance to clients upon request.
- Renewal Preparation: Pull claims history reports (loss runs) and organize preliminary paperwork for upcoming policy renewals.
- Calendar Management: Schedule client policy reviews and follow-up appointments for the primary insurance agents.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Language: Full professional fluency in both English and a second language (written and verbal).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- Experience: 1–2 years in an office administrative, clerical, or retail customer service role.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort learning database software.
- Organization: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strict attention to detail.
Working Conditions
- License Status: Non-licensed position. (No active Property & Casualty or Life & Health license required to start).
